The next clue sits among unassuming monuments in what was referred to as Webster City Park all the way back in our town’s original plat map. These boulders found at different locations on the prairie have chiseled handprints visible in the stone. They were brought to the railroad depot and then later moved when the depot closed to their current location. Legend says that Native Americans placed their hands on the stones in prayer while giving thanks. How interesting it would be to know the original location of these relics.
